Volunteers in Action
In China, UNV supports youth organizations and other local partners in implementing these regulations and promoting them as models throughout China. UNV partnered with the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games to enhance capacity of Olympic and Paralympic Games volunteers and support the longer-term mobilization of volunteers for local development.

Volunteers in Action
UNV volunteers, Callum Douglas (left) and Liu Hui (right), meet with representatives from Youth League to discuss and meet those involved with one of the UNV Project 600 “Ask Me”. A variety of projects aimed at building social community service. UNV volunteer Adam Mahamat, (Cameroon) delivers a lecture on South-South Global Assets and technology Exchange system. Adam is working on the China-Africa Business Council (CABC) project, a joint initiative between the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Ministry of Commerce of the PR China and the Guangcai Programme. The CABC aims to create an enabling environment for China-Africa economic and technical cooperation. (UNV 2008)
